Tip Sheets: Helping Families & Students with Transitions
Easter Seals Ontario, in partnership with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and the Ontario Association of Children’s Rehabilitation Services (OACRS), is very excited to announce the launch of a series of tip sheets to support families of students with disabilities through school transitions. These tip sheets promote the development of independence and self-advocacy to support their full participation as adults.The ‘Parent Tips’ include information on how to deal with accessibility, health and personal care supports, and special equipment. Parent Tip Sheets are available in English, French, Farsi, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese and Spanish.‘Student Tips’ cover the move to secondary and post-secondary school and are available in English and French.
